These terms and conditions set out the basis on which RLL Carpet & Flooring provides services to customers. Please read them carefully before proceeding with any booking.
1. About us
RLL Carpet & Flooring is a family-run flooring business based in Boston, Lincolnshire. We provide carpet and flooring supply, fitting, and removal services to residential and commercial customers across Boston and the surrounding Lincolnshire area.

2. Quotes and estimates
2.1 All quotes provided by RLL Carpet & Flooring are free of charge and carry no obligation.
2.2 Written quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue, unless otherwise stated.
2.3 A quote is based on the information available at the time of the home visit. If additional work is required once fitting has begun — for example, subfloor repairs or remedial preparation not identified at the quote stage — we will inform you before proceeding and agree any additional cost in advance.
2.4 Quotes cover the specific work described. Any changes to the scope of work requested by the customer after a quote has been accepted may affect the final price.
3. Bookings and confirmation
3.1 A booking is confirmed when both parties have agreed a date and scope of work, either verbally or in writing.
3.2 We reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion.
3.3 We will do our best to honour agreed dates. In the event that we need to reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances, we will contact you as soon as possible to arrange an alternative.
4. Customer responsibilities
4.1 You are responsible for ensuring reasonable access to the property and the rooms being fitted on the agreed date.
4.2 Where possible, please clear the room of smaller furniture and fragile items before the fitting date. We are happy to assist with heavier furniture where agreed in advance, but we cannot be held responsible for damage to items that have not been moved or protected.
4.3 You are responsible for ensuring that any flooring you have supplied yourself is correct, undamaged, and suitable for the intended space. We will flag any concerns before fitting begins, but we cannot be held responsible for issues arising from customer-supplied materials that were not identifiable before installation.
4.4 You are responsible for ensuring the property is heated to a reasonable temperature where this is relevant to the flooring product being fitted.
5. Payment
5.1 Our payment terms will be confirmed at the quote stage. For most domestic jobs, payment is due on completion of the work.
5.2 We accept payment by bank transfer or cash unless otherwise agreed.
5.3 In the event of non-payment, we reserve the right to pursue the outstanding amount through appropriate legal channels.
6. Our workmanship
6.1 We take pride in the quality of our work and aim to complete every job to a high professional standard.
6.2 If you are not satisfied with any aspect of the finished work, please contact us within 7 days of completion so we can inspect the issue and, where appropriate, rectify it.
6.3 Our liability for any defect in workmanship is limited to the cost of rectifying that specific issue. We do not accept liability for consequential losses.
6.4 We are not responsible for defects arising from the flooring product itself, manufacturer faults, customer misuse, or conditions outside our control after the work has been completed.
7. Flooring supplied by us
7.1 Where we supply flooring as part of a supply and fit service, we will ensure the product is suitable for the agreed application.
7.2 Any warranty on the flooring product itself is subject to the manufacturer's terms and conditions.
7.3 We cannot accept responsibility for colour or texture variations between samples and the finished product, as these can occur naturally in manufactured flooring.
8. Cancellations
8.1 If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give us as much notice as possible.
8.2 Where materials have already been ordered specifically for your job, you may be liable for the cost of those materials if the booking is cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice.
8.3 We reserve the right to cancel a booking if access to the property is not available at the agreed time, or if site conditions make it unsafe or impractical to proceed.
9. Liability
9.1 Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
9.2 To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you in connection with any job shall not exceed the total price paid for that job.
9.3 We are not liable for any indirect or consequential losses, including loss of income, loss of use of a property, or costs arising from delays beyond our reasonable control.
10. Governing law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
11. Changes to these terms
We reserve the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. The current version will always be available on our website.
